It spanned five generations in the United States and overseas. The car sold close to 28k units in its opening year of 1986. Later, Integra sold over 50k units annually in 1987 and 1988. Then, it sold over 77k units in 1989 and peaked at over 83k units in 1990.

First Generation Integra

The first generation Integra went into production from 1985 to 1989 for model years from 1996 to 1989. It offers multiple engine options - 1.5 L, 1.6 L ZC, 1.6 L D16A1 and 1.5 L D15A1. The model came fitted either with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The models were assembled in the Suzuka Plant at Mie.

Second Generation Integra

The second generation Integra went into production from 1989 to 1993 for model years from 1990 to 1993. It comes with different engine displacements ranging from 1.6 L to 1.8 L. The engines were mated with either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. The models were assembled in the Suzuka Plant at Mie. A total of close to 4,000 units of the second-gen Acura Integra are sold in the United States.

Third Generation Integra

The third generation Integra went into production from 1993 to 2001 for model years from 1994 to 2001. It came with multiple trims including the Type R and SJ. The model offered engine displacements ranging from 1.6 to 1.8 L. The engines were fitted to either a close-ration 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission along with a 2,400 RPM torque converter.

Fourth Generation Integra

The fourth generation Integra went into production from 2001 to 2006 for model years from 2002 to 2006. The model came with a 2 L engine from the Honda K series. The model came with the U.S. preferred 5-speed automatic transmission. In manual cars, they employed both the 5-speed and 6-speed transmissions.

Fifth Generation Acura

Acura Integra is a C-segment launched in 2022. It's a 5-door liftback from the Acura lineup. It is based on the 11th gen Honda Civic. Moreover, it replaced the Acura ILX sedan. Introduced in 2022 for the 2023 model year, it featured as an entry level offering. Using the Integra nameplate, it share similar traits with the Honda's Integra. It is assembled at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio. Fifth generation Acura uses a front engine and front-wheel drive layout. It uses either a 1.5 L turbo inline-4 or 2.0 L turbo inline-4 engines. The 1.5 L DOHC engine pumps out 200 horses and 260 Nm of torque, fitted with CVT transmission. Similarly, the 2.0 L DOHC engine used in Type-S trims pumps out 320 horses at 6,500 RPM and 420 Nm @ 2600-4000 RPM, fitted with a 6-speed manual transmission.
