The naming represents the color of the valve colors.
The second generation Integra went into production from 1989 to 1993 for the model years of 1990 to 1993. Accura offers three trim levels - RS, LS, and GS. All the trim levels were mated with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The lone exception is the GS-R, which came with a 5-speed manual alone. The second generation Acura Integra featured a 1.8 L DOHC 4-cylinder engine pumping out a decent 130 hp. The GS-R liftback used a 1.7 L DOHC VTEC 4-cylinder engine pumping out 160 hp. The model sold 3,118 units in 1992 and 850 units in 1993, in the United States alone. Overall, close to 5k units were sold in North America.
