First Generation NSX

The first generation NSX went into production from 1990 to 2005 for model years 1991 to 2005. It is marketed as the Acura NSX in North America and Hong Kong. This 2-door coupe or targa top used a rear and mid-engine coupled with an RWD layout. They offer either the 3 L V6 or the 3.2 L V6 engines. The 3 L models pumped out over 270 horses of power and 285 Nm of torque. When fitted to an automatic transmission, the engine is powered to 252 horses and 285 Nm of torque. Similarly, the 3.2 L engine pumped out a horsepower of 290 hp and torque of 304 Nm. The first generation NSX used a 4-speed automatic in its 3 L versions. Later, they offer a 5-speed manual transmission for hot rod enthusiasts. In addition, they offered a 6-speed manual transmission for 3.2 L variants. The Acura NSX sold over 1k units from 1990 to 1992 annually in the United States alone.

Second Generation NSX

The second generation Honda NSX is an AWD, mid-engine hybrid electric sports car. The model went into production years from 2016 to 2021 for model years from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, the Type S will be launched in 2022 for a coinciding model year. The second generation NSX is assembled at the Performance Manufacturing Centre in Marysville, Ohio. The 2-door coupe used a longitudinal mid-engine and AWD layout. It used a 3.5 L twin-turbo V6 engine. Besides it uses a TMU electric motor in a hybrid version. The combined power output accounted for a massive 573 hp in regular models and a whopping 602 hp. The hybrid model uses a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. The sales peaked in the United States and Europe in 2017.
