The 3.5 L Duratec V6 pumped out up to 285 horses and generated 380 Nm of torque. The 3.7 L Duratec V6 generated 305 hp @ 6,205 RPM and 380 Nm @ 4,500 RPM. The 2.0 L turbocharged Ecoboost inline-4 generated up to 240 horses and 366 Nm of torque.

Second Generation Edge

The second generation Edge went into production in 2014 for the model years from 2015. Ford Motor Company assembled it at the Oakville Ford assembly plant. It featured a variety of powertain options. The 2.0 L Ecoboost inline-4 pumped out 245 hp @ 5,500 RPM and 373 Nm of torque @ 3,000 RPM. The 3.5 L Duratec V6 engine offered 280 horses and 339 Nm of torque @ 4,000 RPM. There was a range of different diesel engine options. The 2.0 L Ecoblue inline-4 fitted with 6-speed manual transmission and 2.0 L Ecoblue inline-4 fitted with 8-speed automatic transmission graced their presence in European Automobile markets.

Third Generation Edge

Ford released the third-generation Edge in 2023 for the Chinese automobile markets. As a mid-size SUV, it features both gasoline and hybrid powertrains. Designed by Siddharta Kazama, it is assembled at the Changan Ford plant. You get either a 2.0 L turbocharged inline-4 gasoline engine or a 2.0 L inline-4 gasoline hybrid engine. Based on the Ford C2 platform, it replaced the Ford Edge Plus.
