First Generation Ford Grand Marquis went into production for model years of 1971 to 1991. Ford assembled it at the St. Louis Assembly Plant in Hazlewood, Missouri. It offered two different engine options 5.0 L Windsor V8 and 5.8 L Windsor V8. Both of these engines were mated to the 4-speed AOD automatic. The 5.0 L Windsor V8 pumped out 130 horses and 330 Nm of torque for the 1983 model year. Later, it produced 140 horses and 340 Nm of torque for the mode years of 1984 and 1985. It peaked at 150 horses and 370 Nm of torque post-1986. In that time, they introduced the 5.8 L Windsor V8 pumping out 180 horses and 386 Nm of torque. The first-generation Grand Marquis sold close to 1 million units.

Second Generation Grand Marquis

Second Generation Ford Grand Marquis went into production from 1991 to 1997 for model years of 1992 to 1997. Ford assembled these units at the St. Thomas Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada. It featured a 4.6 Modular V8 engine, mated with various versions of 4-speed AOD automatic. In the single exhaust version, the engine produced 190 ho and 350 Nm of torque. With dual exhaust, it pushed for 210 horses and 370 Nm of torque. The second generation Marquis sold over 163k units in the opening year of 1992. From 1992 to 1997, Ford produced over 688k units of the second-generation Grand Marquis. 

Third Generation Grand Marquis

Third Generation Ford Grand Marquis went into production for model years of 1998 to 2002. Ford assembled these units at the St. Thomas Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada. It featured a 4.6 L Modular V8 mated with a 4-speed automatic. For the model years 1998-2000, it offered 200 horses in the single exhaust and 215 horses in dual exhaust versions. Later in 2001-2002, it offered 220 horses in single exhaust and 235 horses in dual exhaust. Also, the GCC export version pushed to 221 horses and 412 Nm of torque.

Fourth Generation Grand Marquis

Fourth Generation Ford Grand Marquis went into production from 2002 to 2011 for model years 2003 to 2011. Ford assembled these units at the St. Thomas Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada. The model is powered by a 4.6 L Modular V8, mated with a 4-speed automatic. In the single-exhaust version, the car pumped out 224 horses and 369 Nm of torque. The dual-exhaust version produced 239 horses and 389 Nm of torque. The car sold over 92k units in 2003 and sold over 434k units in all the model years.
